Características generales
Heos Pro represents the highly-efficient solution for plug-in and semi plug-in showcases, guaranteeing a considerable reduction in environmental impact, cutting direct emissions through the use of natural refrigerants, and indirect emissions through continuous modulation. This approach is the result of the synergy between the variable-speed DC compressor and electronic expansion valve, managed by an advanced controller.
The main components of the complete Heos package are:- BLDC compressors with DC technology ensure higher efficiency through permanent magnet brushless motors, the widest possible range of modulation (25-100%), high reliability due to a reduction in electrical and mechanical stress, low noise and extremely compact dimensions.
- DC drivers. CAREL drivers for Heos applications feature high electrical efficiency and reliability of both the driver and the entire solution. Class B firmware is available, with integrated protection and consequent savings in installation costs.
- Electronic expansion valve with stepper motor. Operation is managed perfectly in synch with the variable-speed compressor.
- Heos controller. All-in-one solution for:
- showcase temperature and superheat control
- compressor management (envelope, EER/COP calculation, oil recovery procedures)
- condensing stage control
- lights, defrosts, fans and alarms
- Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity
- A3 ready for flammable refrigerants
The Heos solution is available for natural (R290 and CO2) or synthetic refrigerants.-

Advanced Connectivity
HMI connection via Bluetooth or NFC allows the parameters to be set and commissioning completed directly from the CAREL “Applica” app, while in addition to the standard RS485 Modbus connection, the individual controllers can also be connected to an Ethernet network (Modbus TCP/IP), so as to maximise connection speed. In this way, supervisor polling times, as well as any upgrades to the individual controllers, are significantly faster.
A3 ready
In addition to normal HFCs and CO2, all system components are compatible for use with A3 flammable refrigerants, such as propane (R290), or A2L fluids.
Continuous system modulation
Variable speed compressors (BLDC) and electronic expansion valves with stepper motor.
Energy efficiency
The decentralised approach and continuous modulation make it possible to adapt operation perfectly to the demands of the cabinet in all conditions. Synchronisation of control actions and possibility to read COP in real time.
Maximum food preservation quality
Continuous modulation of the compressor and EEV electronic valves ensures excellent temperature and humidity stability in the cabinets.
